NZTC awards funds to clean energy technology developers

Offshore staffABERDEEN, UK — The Net Zero Technology Centre (NZTC) has revealed the 20 companies that will receive funding under its 2022 Open Innovation Program.This year the focus was on developing and deploying technologies to cut offshore emissions, accelerate clean energy production and support the UK’s net-zero ambitions.There were 154 companies worldwide that applied for a share of the £8 million (US$8.8 million) available, with the winning technologies related to seven focus areas: Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS); Hydrogen and clean fuels; Renewables and energy storage; Zero emissions power; Venting and flaring; Integrity management; andLate life and decommissioning.NZTC’s next funding competition, due to open in January 2023, will focus on digital and data architecture, smart assets and field automation.Myrtle Dawes, NZTC solution center director, said,…
