Under PM KUSUM Scheme Solar Energy to Farmers’ Pump Sets Soon – Sunil Kumar
Udupi: “Karnataka will soon start providing farmers with pump sets with solar power, which will reduce the subsidy burden on the department”, said the Energy, Kannada and Culture Minister V Sunil Kumar during ‘Meet the Press’, at Udupi Patrika Bhavan on October 22.
Addressing the media persons, Minister V Sunil Kumar said that the government will provide solar power to agricultural pump sets under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan. The Energy Department was planning to set up 1,100 exclusive solarised feeders to provide uninterrupted power supply for irrigation pump sets across the State.
