Patna: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at Vidyut Bhavan here for installation of solar energy plants at Banka and Jamui with a combined production capacity of 200 MW, and the two plants will be ready by December next year.
The MoU was signed between central undertaking Sutlej Solar Energy Vidyut Nigam Limited (SEVNL) and Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL), North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL). SEVNL was selected through a tender process.
As per the MoU, SEVNL will install 200MW solar energy power plant, including 75MW solar energy plant at Banka and 125 MW solar energy plant at Jamui.
