Cummins’ Technology to Be Part of First of Its Kind Hydrogen Plant in Florida

Published 03-10-22Submitted by Cummins, Inc.The Florida project will use five Cummins HyLYZER-1000 PEM electrolyzers.Cummins Inc.Global power leader Cummins Inc. will supply a 25-megawatt (MW) electrolyzer system for Florida’s first of its kind “green” hydrogen plant, which could lay the groundwork for a 100% carbon-free energy future. Florida Power & Light’s (FPL) Cavendish NextGen Hydrogen Hub will leverage solar energy to power the electrolysis process to produce “green,” or carbon-free, hydrogen from water.
