The Biden administration’s efforts to stimulate domestic critical mineral supply chains is scoring early successes, as companies accelerate their plans to extract and refine clean energy metals inside the U.S.
One year after inking an executive order to shore up U.S. critical mineral supply chains, the administration has marshalled billions of dollars and a series of policy tweaks to jump-start the nation’s industrial manufacturing base for more than 50 minerals, including lithium, graphite and rare earth elements, according to industry experts.
