I want to thank the person who responded to my commentary, “The dark side of wind and solar” (Jan. 22). The author had a good point when he listed all the items that we have disposed of over a 50-year period. The townboard is continually directing our road contractor to pick up items that have been thrown into the right-of-way. I’ve been on the board for 2S years and during that time several loads of electronic waste have been taken from the road right-of-ways in Hudson Township.
Douglas County has been working to provide townships with a drop-off point for electronic waste by providing pickup containers. This is a great program, and we in the township thank the county for providing this waste pickup service.
