Ocean City approves permits for battery energy storage unit | News

Ocean City Council members took another step this week toward construction of a battery energy storage system on 100th Street.At a meeting Tuesday, the elected officials unanimously approved two requests from Delmarva Power for conditional use permits to build the innovative power provision system on one of two lots behind the Worcester County Public Library.The two votes, one for each property, were based on favorable recommendations from members of the city’s planning commission and go hand-in-hand with a pending land swap request from the power company.
