CHARLESTON — Appalachian Power is looking for project bids on a solar energy project in West Virginia.The company announced Wednesday the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for up to 150 megawatts of solar energy resources “with the option to include a battery-energy storage system.”AEP issued the RFP as part of the provisions of West Virginia Senate Bill 5833, passed in 2020, to further the development of renewable energy resources and renewable energy facilities for solar energy.
