Australia has formed a partnership with the Netherlands, fostering collaboration that will support the creation of a hydrogen supply chain from Australia to the Port of Rotterdam.
Australia’s Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, and the Netherlands Minister for Climate and Energy, Rob Jetten, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote clean energy supply chains between Australia and the Netherlands on green hydrogen.
The MoU, signed at the Port of Rotterdam, covers:
Hydrogen trade policy, standards and certification schemes
Port infrastructure and supply chain development
Innovative hydrogen technologies, including shipping, equipment and services
Government policies about safety, social licence and regulations for hydrogen
