Duke Energy solar energy plan sparks concerns among some activists

A recent agreement between Duke Energy and other organizations that will encourage private solar power ownership in North Carolina has recently caused concern among climate activists.
Duke Energy published the plan for review in November. It is still pending approval from the North Carolina Utilities Commission.

Some activists said they worry this agreement will make residential solar power inaccessible to low-income community members.
