State clean energy plans look to expand after Democrat wins in midterms

And in each of the four states where they won control this election, Democrats ran on pledges to rapidly shift power grids toward wind and solar power to achieve  net-zero emissions by mid century.
“Look at all these climate wins everywhere,” said Matthew Davis, legislative director at the League of Conservation Voters. “They put in Democratic trifectas in four new states, places where there are strong signals climate is a winning issue.”
Elections are won or lost for a host of reasons, and ahead of the midterm election Americans named the economy as their biggest concern.
But with more than a third of states now firmly under their control, Democrats appear ready to expand financial incentives for clean energy as they already have in states such as California and New York
