Hodag Solar Park is now complete, providing clean energy to WPS customers | News

ONEIDA COUNTY, Wis. (WAOW)– Homes and businesses in the Northwoods may now be using green energy.The Hodag Solar Farm will create 7.5 megawatts impacting over 2,000 homes and businesses.Wisconsin Public Service (WPS) purchased the solar farm from OneEnergy renewables.”Our commitment is to build a bright and sustainable future for the customers and communities that we serve,” said WPS spokesperson, Matthew Cullen.WPS and their parent company WEC Energy Group plan to make its electric generation fleet net carbon neutral by 2050.This is the third solar energy project in the state since 2020.”Over the next five years we are planning to add 2400 megawatts of new solar, wind and battery storage facilities here in the state of Wisconsin,” Cullen said. “Over…
