Batteries collected curbside next week

Batteries past their AA game can be recycled, and you don’t have to leave your home to do it
Remember to place your household batteries in a clear, sealed bag on the curb next week if you live in Barrie, Orillia, or the rest of Simcoe County. 

Orillia, Barrie and the County of Simcoe’s curbside waste collection services will be picking up spent batteries during the week of Nov. 7-12 on your regular collection date. 

The program collects single-use batteries only, including type AAA, AA, A, C, D, 9 volt and button batteries commonly used for hearing aids and watches. Batteries that are rechargeable, including cell phone and laptop batteries, car and industrial battery packs are not accepted, but can be taken to a municipal household hazardous waste facility for safe and free disposal.
