August 31 (Renewables Now) – US energy storage company Powin LLC will deliver 1.7 GWh of energy storage systems to Australian battery project developer Akaysha Energy in a deal that marks the Oregon-based firm’s entry into the Aussie market.The framework agreement will see Powin, which has already delivered over 2,500 MWh of BESS globally, deploy the energy storage systems for its Aussie partner over the next two years, it said on Tuesday.
