IIT Bhilai campus to operate on solar energy

The IIT Bhilai campus, situated near Chhatisgarh’s capital Raipur is almost ready and the whole campus will operate on solar energy. In order to make the campus environment-friendly, only e-vehicles and bicycles will be allowed inside the premises, and people will be encouraged to walk as much as possible. The club building’s temperature will be regulated using water.This campus situated in Chhatisgarh’s Kutelabhata, with a capacity of 2500 students, is the first among the six new third-generation IITs, and has been awarded with a 5-star rating from the Griha (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) Council.The building is surrounded with water from two sides and seems to be floating on it.
