AUSTIN — Come to Sinnemahoning State Park this weekend to marvel at the night sky, make a planet craft, and learn about solar energy.On Friday, August 12, join the park naturalist for a Perseid Party from 9 to 11 p.m. Try to catch a glimpse of the famous Perseid Meteor Shower. With bright meteors zooming in at about one per second, the Perseids are possibly the brightest and most famous meteor shower in the Northern Hemisphere. With the recently full moon, meteors may be faint and hard to see. However, Saturn will still be putting on a show, at its closest and brightest of the year.
