SmartFlower innovative solar energy system was installed in Ternopil city, western Ukraine.
“SmartFlower system uses advanced robotics and automation to intelligently track the sun making up to 40% more energy than traditional stationary solar panels. The flower panel starts with the first rays of the sun. Dust and debris are removed from the panel with special brushes. The device directs its petals toward the sun at a 90-degree angle. The petal modules fold up at night or when the sensors detect strong wind that can damage the device,” Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal told an Ukrinform correspondent.
