Genesee planning board OKs solar energy projects in Batavia | Top Story

BATAVIA — Developers of two solar projects, a 1.6 megawatt project at 9071 Alexander Rd. and the other a 3-megawatt project 9183 Alexander Rd., have the county Planning Board’s recommendations for special use permit approval.Both projects would involve 35-year leases of the properties.The proposed project at 9071 Alexander would cover about 10 acres. It would be a ground-mounted solar energy system.The company proposing the project is Renewable Properties, based in San Francisco, Calif.
