PEEL Ports have signs agreement with Mainstream Renewable Power for offshore wind farm infrastructure projects at Hunterston.
Deals have been penned with the global wind and solar company to create the onshore infrastructure at the site to support its proposed offshore wind farm project.
The development is part of a long-term deal which the firm says will bring new employment and career opportunities for locals.
The contract is the latest step forward in Hunterston’s vision to build and develop a facility to service and diversify into green projects.
The deal comes just three months after Peel Ports signed a similar agreement with cabling company XLCC to open two new factories which could generate 900 jobs.
