The Pierson Township Planning Commission with the help of a hired planner took its first steps in creating a solar energy ordinance on Wednesday evening.
All seven Planning Commission members were present, as was Zoning Administrator Lance Gates and the township’s hired planner, Kevin Yeomans of Fresh Coast Planning in Grand Haven.
