The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced the training of 1, 000 Nigerian youth on solar renewable energy nationwide.
According to a statement the Director General of the agency, Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, the initiative is part of the efforts of the federal government aimed at reducing unemployment in the country and boosting energy provision for economic growth.
The statement which was issued by Head Information and Public Relations of NDE, Israel Adekitan, said 25 youth were recruited from each of the states across the federation, including FCT Abuja.T programme started in December 2022.
