ZAGREB (Croatia), December 21 (SeeNews) – Croatian electrical equipment manufacturer Koncar Elektroindustrija [ZSE:KOEI] said on Wednesday it signed deals worth 126 million kuna ($18 million/17 million euro) in total to deliver battery-powered trains and energy storage devices to state-owned passenger railway company HZ Putnicki Prijevoz (HZPP).The deal envisaged sale of a battery electric multiple unit (BEMU) prototype and battery multiple unit prototype, as well as the delivery and commissioning of six energy storage devices along the railway network, Koncar said in a filing to the Zagreb Stock Exchange.Battery electric multiple unit (BEMU) will operate in passenger transport on the electrified and non-electrified railway routes in Croatia.
