Oman hopes to attract $20bn investment in green hydrogen sector by 2030

Muscat – Oman’s government is expecting to attract total investment worth more than US$20bn in the green hydrogen sector by 2030, according to a senior official at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals.
The sultanate has set an ambition to become one of the largest green hydrogen producers and exporters globally, targeting production of one million tonnes by 2030.
In a statement to Oman News Agency, Eng Abdulaziz al Shidhani, director general of renewable energy and hydrogen at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, said, “It is hoped that the total investment that will be attracted in the field of green hydrogen until 2030 will reach more than US$20bn.
