On Tuesday the Nigerian Minister of Environment, Muhammad Abdullah, announced Nigeria’s interest in seeking more cooperation with Egypt in the energy sector. Abdullah believes Nigeria could have a key role in developing the African carbon market in coordination with Egypt. The minister describes the three main axes of Africa’s climate action plan as damage and losses, climate adaptation, and the equitable transition of energy.
