Nigeria Discusses Cooperative With Egypt for Clean Energy in Africa

On Tuesday the Nigerian Minister of Environment, Muhammad Abdullah, announced Nigeria’s interest in seeking more cooperation with Egypt in the energy sector. Abdullah believes Nigeria could have a key role in developing the African carbon market in coordination with Egypt. The minister describes the three main axes of Africa’s climate action plan as damage and losses, climate adaptation, and the equitable transition of energy. With a goal of transitioning the country from traditional energy to clean energy by 2035, he hopes this could be a step in that direction for both the nation and the continent.Read more here.
