Uniper awards FEED contract to TechnipEnergies for green hydrogen project at the port of Rotterdam – Chemical Engineering

Uniper SE (Düsseldorf, Germany) signed an agreement that awards a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study contract to Technip Energies (Paris) for the H2Maasvlakte project , which will construct 100 MW of electrolyzer capacity for green hydrogen production at the Maasvlakte power plant site in the port of Rotterdam.
Eventually, H2Maasvlakte aims to gradually scaleup to a total electrolysis capacity of 500 MW for green hydrogen by 2030. The first 100 MW is scheduled to be commissioned in 2025.
Uniper’s flagship H2Maasvlakte project will make a very important contribution to the Dutch government’s goal of building 500 MW of electrolyzer capacity for green hydrogen by 2025 and achieving 3-4 GW by 2030.
