Oslo, 26th October 2022 – Kyoto Group today announced that the installation of a thermal energy storage solution at Nordjyllandsværket in Denmark, the company’s first commercial contract, is progressing well and on track for the planned commissioning early 2023.
Several project milestones have recently been reached. The fundament has been cast. The transformer and tanks, including tanks´ insulation and the heat tracing, have been installed, and melting the salt is in progress, with support from Kyoto’s partner YARA.
Nordjyllandsværket is located in Vodskov, Nordjylland, Denmark and is owned by Aalborg Forsyning, a utility that is part of the Aalborg municipality.
