Batavia town planners say proposed solar energy projects on Alexander Road won’t hurt the environment | Local News

BATAVIA — The town of Batavia Planning Board Tuesday night decided the proposed Pike Road and Alexander Road solar projects, which would be built on separate properties on Alexander Road, will have no significant impact on the environment.At its meeting Tuesday night, the board went through the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) for both projects.One project is a 3-megawatt project at 9183 Alexander Rd. (known as the Pike Road project) and the other at 9071 Alexander Rd., known as the Alexander Road project, is a 1.6-megawatt project,The Pike Road solar project would cover 13 acres of a 29-acre parcel.
