Ulstein Power & Control has selected Corvus Energy to provide energy storage systems (ESS) for two construction service operation vessels (CSOVs).
The vessels will be built for Norwegian shipowner Olympic, which operates a fleet providing subsea and renewable services on the country’s north-west coast.
Serving as the integrator, Ulstein Power & Control will equip the vessels with the Corvus Orca Energy ESS.
Furthermore, the ships will feature hybrid battery propulsion based on the ULSTEIN SX222 design, as well as the TWIN X-STERN from Ulstein Design & Solutions.
