(Becker, MN) — Minnesota U-S Senator Tina Smith is visiting Becker today (Monday 11 a-m) to highlight a multi-million-dollar project to create the state’s largest solar energy plant. The proposal at Xcel Energy’s Sherco power plant is expected to create 900 construction jobs and provide electricity to 100-thousand homes. Senator Smith is also touring Mill Creek Dairy in Kimball this afternoon and hosting a discussion about conservation provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act.
