Presentation on solar energy planned for Aug. 27 | Calendar

If you’re curious about solar energy, but don’t want a sales pitch, now is your opportunity to learn all about it, according to a news release. On Saturday, Aug. 27, from 10 a.m. to noon, Steve O’Neil, executive director of Earthshine Nature Programs (501c3), and Jim Hardy will give a presentation on solar energy at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Brevard.In this program, O’Neil and Hardy will display a small RV powered by a rooftop solar array and a fully electric vehicle. They will offer a hands-on look at examples of small and large-scale power systems, solar stoves and solar/battery renewable energy systems.
