By Chris Crowell August 1, 2022 Lion Energy officially launched LionESS last week, with the goal of storing any type of renewable power generated (solar, wind, hydro and thermal), as well non-renewable sources (utility grid and generators).Back in May, Lion Energy signed an off-take agreement with American Battery Factory Inc. (ABF), which is developing a U.S.-based network of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cell giga-factories, for 18 GWh of LFP battery cells — high-capacity prismatic cells offering 50 and 300 Ah outputs.
