I urge citizens to contact their state legislators to remove proposed subsidies for burning woody biomass from all of Massachusetts’ renewable energy programs. We need forests to draw down carbon from the atmosphere. Burning woody biomass also contributes to air pollution. What you burn is what you breathe. We need to direct state funds to truly renewable clean energy efforts. Cutting down and burning trees does not get us there.Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
