YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown will receive a state grant in recognition of the town’s successful clean energy promotion.The $5,000 action grant is because of Yorktown’s participation in NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Communities program which helps to promote solar, clean heating/cooling and energy efficiency in the community. Supervisor Matt Slater said the town board and volunteers are serious about leaving future generations a healthy and sustainable environment.”This grant acknowledges the hard work we’ve done and motivates us to continue our journey to reducing our carbon footprint for our town buildings and operations,” he said.
