Spectrum, the solar solutions subsidiary of Manila Electric Company (Meralco), will install rooftop solar power system for Toyota Motors Philippines (TMP), primarily for the Japanese carmaker’s manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
In a statement to the media, Spectrum indicated that the new rooftop solar power solution for TMP is comprised of 460-kilowatt peak (kWp) facility, which is an expansion of its existing 1.0-megawatt installation that went on stream in December 2018.
In Spectrum’s calculation, “the expansion project is expected to generate approximately 625,700 kilowatt hours (kWh) of clean energy per year, translating to an estimated annual savings in energy costs amounting to P3.5 million.”
