Pune: The Hadapsar police have arrested two men and booked their accomplice on the charge of vandalising three SUVs and a jeep parked outside a housing society at Kalepadal and stealing their batteries on Tuesday.
Sub-inspector Ravi Dhavare on Thursday said the trio had vandalised vehicles with a sharp weapon, opened its locks and stole seven batteries before fleeing. He said, “CCTV camera captured images of the three men. We worked on certain clues, established the identities of the three men and arrested two of them on Wednesday.”
The duo, Swapnil Wahanmane (21) and Amol Sonawane (18), stayed in rented places at Kalepadal and were from poor economic backgrounds.
