GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — At the Energy Summit hosted by the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce this week, expert speakers were given the opportunity to share information on topics such as the future of solar energy with local residents.
Energy Summit explores the uses of geothermal energy
One speaker, Matt Fowler with Atlasta Solar Center, had the chance to share his views on the solar panel industry and its future on the Western Slope. When presenting to Grand Valley locals, Fowler noted that solar panels continue to have a negative stigma around them due to cost.
But in the end, Fowler says customers save money, and the price has dropped significantly over the past decade. KREX will continue to follow the future of solar energy on the Western Slope.
