The Sanilac Career Center’s FFA chapter won state gold at the recent state FFA convention in Lansing, in the public speaking category, and in the agricultural issues category for their presentation of Watertown Township’s controversial solar energy system.
The chapter’s agricultural issues team of Bette Eggink (Deckerville), Brookelynn Jansen (Sandusky), Karli Kreger (Sandusky), Isabella Stoutenburg (Sandusky) and Sara Wurmlinger (Croswell-Lexington) won fifth place and the gold award.
