Pulse Clean Energy targets 1GW+ battery energy storage portfolio

Following last year’s acquisition, Green Frog Power has rebranded as Pulse Clean Energy and unveiled a target of 1GW+ of energy storage assets in the UK.

The company was bought by Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) in October 2021. Matthew Mendes and Trevor Wills have been appointed as chief executive officer and chief operating officer respectively, and will now take on the responsibility of growing a substantial battery storage pipeline.

Pulse Clean Energy has already invested in nine diesel generation sites, which will be decommissioned and repurposed as grid-scale battery energy storage…
