Powin seals supply deals in US, Taiwan for 5.8 GWh of batteries

February 11 (Renewables Now) – US energy storage company Powin LLC announced on Thursday that it signed framework agreements for the supply of 5,800 MWh of batteries to four different developers of multiple projects in the US and Taiwan.Powin has been contracted to deliver fully-integrated battery energy storage systems that include cells, battery management, stacks, enclosures, cabling, transformers, inverters and all software and controls system, it said. Most of the orders will cover Powin’s Centipede platform.The supplier expects to deliver the systems in the period 2022-2024 after which it will commission them and provide ongoing long-term services.”These agreements are with some of the industry’s most well-respected developers with healthy pipelines of projects located near some of the largest power hubs…
