LaFayette High seniors gear up for solar energy challenge – Valley Times-News

Friday morning marked the kickoff of the PowerUP! Challenge at LaFayette High School, a program focused on solar energy education. The program is a collaborative effort of LaFayette High School and four organizations: SOLV Energy, Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI), Heart of America and UNITE, Inc. Only the LaFayette High School senior class will participate.
“This is a day that we’ve been thinking about and waiting on for a long time,” Chambers County School District Superintendent Casey Chambley said. “There have been a lot of people behind the scenes working to put this together for you and working for you to make this happen with SOLV Energy and with Heart of America and with UNITE.”
