The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to collaborate with the National government of Morocco to jointly develop a solar energy project in Jigawa State, Nigeria.
Sagir Musa Ahmed, Jigawa State Commissioner for Land, Housing, Urban and Regional Planning revealed the plans and said the energy project will be developed on approximately 200,000 hectares of land in Gwiwa, a Local Government Area of Jigawa State and that the project aims to improve power generation and supply in the West African country, especially in Zamfara, Jigawa, Katsina and Yobe states.
